1. SUMMARY
In recent years very popular and comfortable account for the service mean is electronic payment.
The point of this work is to acquaint onself with electronic bills presentment system E-pay. This ssystem is done for everyone Internet user.
E-pay system is the Internet Website, where clients may review the invoices presented to them by service providers and give a consent to pay for them.
This is a combortable mean to pay the bills not leaving home.
E-PAY – electronic bills presentment and payment system. The service provider periodically sends invoices to the customer. When customer registers in E-pay system he starts receiving invoices via Internet instead of mail.
Registered user has to login to EE-pay system. The customer receives invoices from the service provider and he is able to pay for it directly from the E-pay system.
The bank receives the acceptance for the payment from customer.
The bank transfers money from customer’s account to the sservice provider’s account. The service provider sends information abaut user’s invoices/statement to E-pay system.

You could login into E-pay using two methods:
Using “Login” button on www.epay.lt You will be directed to the login page, where You need to type in Your username and password. You will see of the available invoices after that.
In case we’ll get a new invoice for You we’ll send e-mail notification which will include URL like: www.epay.lt/epay/DocMenu.jsp?docid=5&engineid=1. By clicking on that link You will be directed to the login page, but Your user name will be pre-filled, so You need to type password only. After login procedure You will see invoice we sent notification about, than You could brows tto another page and review all available invoices.
4. E-PAY DEMONSTRATION (DEMO)
4.1 E-PAY REGISTRATION
To login into e-Pay You need to type in Your username and password into appropriate fields in the middle of the screen and click OK. In case You entered correct data You’ll login and be able to review Your bills.
If You want to see You bill please ensure that Acrobat Reader is installed on Your computer. In case You have no this program just click on “Get Acrobat RReader” yellow button and follow installation instructions.
In the upper right corner of the screen You can see the language flags – by clicking on them You could switch between languages.
4.2 REGISTRATION UNSUCCESFULL
In case You’ve entered wrong or empty user name or password e-Pay will deny access and ask You about another try. “Return to Startpage” link will redirect You to the Login page again.
4.3 LIST OF INVOICES
Bills list presented as table consists of generic details like amount, due date, utility and status of the invoice, sorted by the status field.
Different statuses will have different colors and could have following values: “Notified” – notification have been sent to the user, “Reminded” – after first unattended notification system sent e-mail reminder to the user, “Viewed” – user reviewed this invoice, “Accepted” – user confirmed payment transaction initiation, “Processed” – payment transaction sent to the bank.
If You would like to see Your bill You should click on “View invoice” link.
4.4 INVOICE
Bill will be presented in Adobe Portable Document Format (PDF), so You coul save it to Your hard drive, print whole bill or part of it, etc.
You could see not only bill itself, but some important information like Invoice Number, Amount, Invoice DDate and Due Date also.
If You would like to pay Your bill You need to click on Accept button and confirm it like described. In case You want review You bill without paying it click on “Back to Startpage” button and You will return to the invoice list.
4.5 INVOICE PAYMENT
Immediately after invoice acceptance e-Pay will ask You to confirm Your wish to pay this invoice in case You click on “Accept” accidentally.
In case You’ll choose “Yes” e-Pay will initiate payment transaction. If You’ll click on “No” system return You back to the invoice page.
4.6 INVOICE SEARCHING
You could reach this page by clicking on “Search invoices” link. Here You could search through Your invoices using some criteria.
You could search on Utility name in case You want to see invoices from this Utility only. You could use invoice status for search also in case You want to see new invoices only. You could use any combination of search criteria’s.
4.7 SETTINGS
Safety and comfort are the main objectives of this page.
By clicking on “Update email” You could change e-mail address on which You want to receive notifications.
By clicking on “Change password” link You could change You password for security or other reasons.
4.8 EE-MAIL ADDRESS CHANGING
You could see Your current e-mail address and enter new one here. After your changes are done You should click on “Submit” button and you will get next notification to that address.
4.9 PASSWORD CHANGING
You could see Your current e-mail address and enter new one here. After Your changes are done You should click on “Submit” button and You will get next notification to that address.
If You want to change Your password You should enter Your old password (for security reasons).
Than You should enter Your new password twice – this will prevent from typing errors. After clicking on “OK” button Your password will be changed.
4.10 LOGOUT
By clicking on “Logout” You could end Your session.
You could login again using “Login again” link. After 10 minutes of inactivity You will be logout automatically.
Operations of E-pay system are secured by UAB “Nacionalinis Atsiskaitymu Centras” (NAC) together with cooperating banks.
5. ABAUT E-PAY SYSTEM
E-pay is working as an intermediary between utilities, which provide some services and send bills, their customers and banks.
You could use more convenient and efficient way of bill payment by signing for E-pay:
You could access and pay Your bills from any point where You have internet
access;
E-pay is multilingual system;
You could save Your time and money using E-pay;
You get Your bills faster and You don’t need to go anywhere to pay them;
You are sure that You’ll get Your bill and get it in time. It won’t be opened or damaged;
You could print Your bill or keep it electronically;
You could search any information in Your bill – it could be very useful if You have long bills;
If You have a lot of bills E-pay will help You tto keep track on it using search functions. You could search invoices by utilities and statuses (new, viewed, accepted);
You could change password or e-mail address any time;
You could accept Your bill any time. In case You haven’t seen Your invoice and due date is close system will remind You that.
6. SECURITY
E-pay is protected by:
First of all Your account protected by username and password know only by You. In case some information will be wrongly entered system will deny access. All iinformation flows between user and E-pay are protected by SSL encryption. After 10 minutes of inactivity You will be signed off from the service automatically.
Second important thing is that E-pay doesn’t contain any sensitive payment information about You, like Your bbank account if You’ll leave Your computer unattended.
7. CONCLUSIONS
At the given moment it is very popular to get different account systems straight through the Internet. The basic quality of this systems is short waiting time. We need to wait for bills more then three days ofter that to pay it them. Still it is taken additional tax for payment service. If we pay through such systems (as Internet) tax is free.
In case you haven’t seen your invoice and due date is close the system will remind you that. So you can pay bills at home it isn’t necessary to go out.
